Garden Design

We offer a comprehensive garden design service across Surrey, Kent and Sussex. Our core process is based around thoughtful design that considers the house and surroundings and combines this with the vision of the client.

The design process is broken down into manageable stages to help your project progress smoothly and efficiently.

Step one - Get in touch! An introductory call to discuss your requirements for your garden and any other questions you may have. Organise a site visit.

Step two - site visit. During this visit we will:

• Assess the current garden.

• Discuss the functions of the new garden.

• Look at style choices and colour schemes.

• Take approximate measurements and photographs of the site.

Step three - instruct a third party land surveyor to conduct a topographical survey of the house and boundaries. This is a crucial part of the process to provide accuracy for the plans and designs, to ensure site safety and enable proper building practices.

Step four - an outline design concept. This stage will provide you with a proposed floorpan for your new garden as well as some 3D perspective sketches to help you to visualise the site. At this stage client input is welcomed and any amendments or additions to the initial designs can be made.

Step five - detailed design. Once we are ready to proceed beyond the concept stage, we will produce a set of detailed design drawings including finalised master plan, setting out plans, construction drawings, and all the drawings required by a contractor to successfully implement the plan accurately.

Step six - going to tender. At this point we can develop a detailed specification so you can take the plans and instruct your own contractors to implement the design or allow us to tender out the contracts on your behalf.

Step seven - the build stage. The garden is built by contractors according to the plans provide. We can offer consultation throughout this process.

Step eight - planting plans. We’d produce fully detailed planting plans for your newly built garden. We can then source and supply all the plants to implement the plan.
